UNIVERSITY OF UTAH CHEMISTRY
The balance of professionalism and attractive design with functionality was important with this site, including faculty approval. The logo and the general structure of the site was developed by Media Services, then I fleshed it out and elaborated on several aspects, including Dreamweaver style sheets and templates for sub-categories within the site. 1997-2004
- ONLINE COURSES: Primary duties included creation of interactive online chemistry courses including "1010:Chemistry, Man and Environment", "1200:Introduction to Chemistry", "1030: Drugs and Toxins", and "3510:Biochemistry I". These courses are not available to the general public. Interactive quizzes and special features were prepared using ASP, MS Access, MS SQL, and streaming narrated multimedia in some cases.
- COURSE EVALUATIONS: Work with web-based instruction led to my proposal to convert from paper-based to web-based student course evaluations. This project was conceived, programmed, help-desk supported, beta-tested and managed by me. It involved significant coordination among administrative and academic departments across campus. At the end of beta-testing, I handed it over for Academic Computing to convert to run within the main university portal.
- TA ASSIGNMENT TOOL: this teaching assistant assignment tool stores applicant information from semester to semester, and is editable by the student. The student enters data into a matrix to indicate availability. The administrative side of this tool includes the ability to add or delete sections, and to procure a list of students who are available and eligible to "TA" a given class. This tool needs somewhat scrubbed data from Academic Computing, and is not active at this time.
- WEB PROJECT ROSTER: This tool was created to track all kinds of projects from major online courses to simple materials needed for an upcoming semester. Each research group had a logon and could enter requests, which would then be emailed to me. As I educated secretaries and support personnel in the creation and uploading of web materials, this web roster became obsolete.

STONE GROUND BAKERY
This site was developed to reflect the already existant brochure. I wanted
to do more than just duplicate the static brochure, so I added a story-telling
feature using the Anfy java routines. 2002
- UNITY CHURCH OF SALT LAKE CITY
With a lot of cooks in the bucket over the years, including a logo, I
took things in hand and completely changed the color scheme of the logo
and set up a site to match. 2001-2002
- KAMP DATA SOFTWARE
Company provides software modules and applications that
interface seamlessly with Great Plains Dynamics® software. I taught this
individual how to update his website and he has been doing it ever since. 1998
- SOCIETY OF WOMEN ENGINEERS-GSL
Society of Women Engineers, Greater Salt Lake Chapter. I took the traditional
flat logo for SWE and made it stand up off the page, then created the site
for the local chapter of the club. 2000
- NATIVE THUNDER
This site, including the logo, was developed but never went online with
a domain. I developed the logo from designs I found on these hand-made
drums. 1998
- TIMPANOGOS TRIBE
I developed this site, including graphics, from scratch, later using input
and pictures from the history of this Shoshone tribe. 1999-2000
- LOGOS
These are logos that I have created either from scratch or with some original artwork from the client. PSD files are provided for examination.
