Activating the Power
Within
... excerpt from the Sistine Chapel
Michelangelo's representation of Adam being touched by the Hand of God is
a painting that I have always enjoyed. The symbol is one that evokes thoughts of
an external source. We know now, however, that our true source is WITHIN, that
God is not separate from us.
Just how do we activate the power within ourselves? If we have followed the
prescriptions on the previous pages, we should have it pretty well in hand:
- I seek understanding of my world and the people in it to more
completely understand myself.
- I give love freely and without expectations and my world is becoming
wonderful. I am an active living part of humanity.
- I have found my SELF and do not need another person to fill me because
I am no longer empty. New people are coming into my life.
- I have taken responsibility for my feelings and thoughts and am now in
the driver's seat of my life; there is no longer any reason for rage in my
life.
- I have found my own goals and desires and now have a passion for life
that fuels my journey. I am calm and excited at the same time; I know where
I am going.
- I am now a doer and it feels so good to be active and alive in the here
and now.
- I use the world as a mirror to see myself; its reflection shows me all
that I need to continue to improve my world.
- I take 100% of the responsibility for my thoughts, beliefs and actions;
I am in 100% control of my life.
- I see the power of my thoughts and beliefs being actualized in the
world around me. I love myself and my life more and more each day.
