Responsibility

I Take 100% Responsibility

I take 100% responsibility for my life, and for everything in it, including the world, my soul mirror. I am the creator of my life.

"ACK!", you say, "How can I take 100% responsibility for my life and everything that's in it????????? What about other people? What about...?"

First understand that we have what is referred to as consensus reality, the reality of life on earth that is created (consciously or UNconsciously) by us. We have within us the means to create a world where humans can fly or not, can cure diseases or not, ride a horse or an automobile, etc. We have taken our creations a great distance in the last 50 or so years, but we are capable of much more. How much more is left to the imagination!

It's relatively easy to say that we will take 100% of responsibility for our rent and bills, but physical things are not what we are talking about here. We are talking about mental and emotional responsibility. It means, for instance, that we never blame any outside-of-us person or institute for any event in our lives. People complain about taxes, but if there were no taxes, would YOU go out and spend your money to build a new freeway or a new school? We have imposed these "rules" on ourselves because we deemed ourselves lazy and selfish.

When we begin to take responsibility, many things become abundantly clear; among them is a new perspective on how we have conferred our power on others by blaming them, how really "in charge" we are when we take the bull by the horns, and how easy it is once we start being our true selves instead of avoiding responsibility.

Typical arguments are "But I am not responsible for the killing in Bosnia" and "I am not responsible for the rapist or the thief". We are, however, either unresponsive or responsible. We hate them and they hate back, OR we love them and understand them, and our world changes, simple as that. We may change OUR personal world because we can change our SELVES and therefore change what experiences and people are attracted to us. We can also change consensus reality - as a critical mass of understanding and responsibility occurs, the world changes (it always has!) We can cause it to change radically and quickly!

Always seek to understand what you see in the world around you; within that understanding lies the key to your innermost self. If you have never had thoughts of killing someone, or you have never hated anyone, find a way to understand. How would you feel if someone made mincemeat of your child right in front of your eyes? Maybe you, like millions of others, have denied within yourself what is generally not socially acceptable. Men who go to war and come back to the (in comparison) facade of American life find it almost impossible to deal with. They may have killed people and now have trouble living with themselves because of it. None of us are guiltless in those murders.

We take responsibility when we monitor our thoughts and change them to match our ideals, when we use what information we find in the world around us to improve our core of being, when we create consciously instead of allowing our thoughts to run amuck.
